Ollie is a 6-month-old bundle of sweetness wrapped in soft fur and big puppy eyes! He is a gorgeous boy and is going to be even more stunning when he is full grown! We believe he is a lab mix of some sort that weighs approximately 45 pounds! As he is still growing he will be a big boy! Due to him being a rescue, age and breed are our best guesses and cannot be guaranteed. From the moment you meet him, it’s clear, this pup is something special! He’s smart, affectionate, playful, and wonderfully well-mannered for his age. In short: he’s a total catch. Check out Ollie here: https://youtu.be/Yyfqi5vyCvE He is currently thriving in a loving foster home and is learning all the ropes of being a good boy! And according to his foster, he’s absolutely nailing it! He’s been around kids ranging from toddlers to teens (15 months to 19 years), and he’s been nothing but gentle and respectful with every one of them! The babies can toddle around with zero worry! Ollie has never jumped, never snatched a snack, and somehow just knows how to be calm around little ones! His favorite human? Eleven-year-old Kate, mostly because she lets him crawl into her lap for snuggles LOL. And speaking of snuggles, Ollie is full of them! When he wants a hug, he’ll press the top of his head into your chest and melt into you like he was made to love. He’s not demanding, just sweet and quietly devoted. Whether it's hanging out on the couch while you watch a movie or greeting you at the door with soft eyes and a wagging tail, Ollie is happiest just being near his people. This pup also gets along great with other dogs. He lives with both male and female pups and has done well with everyone! He is considered to be dog friendly and would thrive in a home with a medium-energy playmate who enjoys some chase but also understands when it’s time to take a breather. Ollie is respectful, takes corrections well from both people and dogs, and doesn’t push for attention or play. He’s happy to go with the flow and just be part of the pack! In terms of lifestyle, Ollie would do best in a home with a backyard and a semi-active family! He’s a young dog with energy to spare, but not the kind who bounces off the walls. A few romps outside or a fun outing will do the trick. He’s also shaping up to be a great hiking or beach buddy, always curious and eager to be by your side! We are working on his leash skills and he shows that with his eagerness to please and quick learning that he'll pick it up fast! Ollie’s foster states that he sleeps quietly in his crate and only barks when he's feeling a little left out (and even then, it’s brief). He hasn't shown any destructive habits and is nearly fully potty trained! Ollie is the total package: affectionate, respectful, smart, and full of love! If you’re looking for a dog who will grow up to be your best friend, your little ones’ favorite playmate, and your adventure partner for life, Ollie is your boy! Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
