My story

Meet Jax, a 7 year-old black Chihuahua who found himself in need of a new home when his owner passed away in December 2023. Jax finds comfort simply curled up in a bed surrounded by some toys. This sweet neutered male is navigating a challenging time in his life and still misses the absence of his beloved owner. He takes a while to even say “hello” to unknown people. While Jax has a social friend, he's not quite ready to engage with many other chihuahuas. His preference is for quiet moments of reflection and solace. Jax has become comfortable in his foster home and we find that he is a quiet, reserved boy who simply enjoys the peace and serenity that life has to offer. However, is easily frightened if things become to crazy. He’s not a fan of active households. He is not a “hiking” buddy but a “lap” buddy. Jax's journey involves healing from loss and adapting to a new chapter in his life. If you're ready to provide a patient and understanding home for Jax, filled with the compassion he needs during a new transitional period to your home, you may find a loyal companion in him once he's ready to connect and trust again.
