Jimbo

My story

***Jimbo is scheduled to be available for adoption at the Tractor Supply in Ringoes, NJ - July 20, 26 & 27th.  An application for his adoption can be submitted at socorescue.com (no need to register or login). Questions about Jimbo and/or our adoption policy should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com; please do not call the rescue.*** Jimbo, his six siblings and their mom were all found as strays in a neighboring city. While we couldn't immediately take them in due to space limitations, we were able to get them started on their required vaccinations, de-wormings and other care thanks to a very compassionate woman who agreed to foster them until space did become available. Their mom (picture included with this profile) is a very friendly, small bulldog, weighing only 30lbs. We have no idea who the dad was, but by looking at the pups, we'd have to say he was some type of Shepherd breed.  While Jimbo is a very affectionate and playful pup, he does tend to be a little shy when first encountering new people. At the same time, he finds comfort in the arms of his human counterparts and loves to snuggle up on their lap. He gets along great with other dogs and would benefit by being in a home with either another dog or a person who can offer him lots of interaction.  As of July 7, 2025, Jimbo has received 2 of 3 of his first year "puppy" vaccines, been de-wormed at proper intervals and started on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. He will require house and leash training. His adopter must agree to having Jimbo neutered once he reaches the appropriate age (typically 6 months) and supplying SoCo with verification of such.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 15, 2025, 10:09 am
