Meet Skillet – A Diamond in the Rough Ready for His Forever Home! Skillet is a handsome 65-pound mixed-breed boy who’s overcome a tough start to life. About five months ago, he wandered up to us, covered in ticks and too afraid to come near anyone. With patience—and plenty of rotisserie chicken!—Skillet has blossomed into a gentle, loving companion. We believe he’s part Great Pyrenees, Lab, Golden Retriever, and Shepherd—a beautiful mix that makes him both striking and smart. He’s around 18 months old, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and neutered. The Good Stuff: Highly intelligent and very trainable Good with cats and kids Walks well on a leash Loads up in the car like a champ Sweet and gentle nature Never shown aggression—no growling or biting What Skillet Needs: A patient, loving adopter who understands shy dogs A fenced backyard where he can feel secure Time and encouragement to keep building his confidence Continued socialization to help him learn how to befriend other dogs Skillet still has a shy side, but every day he shows more of his affectionate, loyal spirit.
