My story

Brownie is a sweet and spirited brown tabby kitten with a coat as warm and cozy as her name suggests. With soft amber eyes and delicate stripes that ripple across her fur like sunlight through trees, she carries herself with quiet confidence and an irresistible charm. Brownie loves to perch by the window, watching birds flutter by and soaking in the world around her with thoughtful curiosity. Though gentle by nature, she has a mischievous streak and delights in sneaking up on unsuspecting toys—or toes.Affectionate and loyal, Brownie quickly bonds with those she trusts, often following her favorite humans from room to room like a fuzzy little shadow. She has a calming presence, often curling up nearby and purring softly as if offering comfort just by being close. Still, in her kitten phase, Brownie balances her mellow moments with playful bursts of energy, leaping after feather wands or tumbling through pillow forts. As she grows, it’s clear that Brownie is destined to be a loving, graceful companion with a heart full of warmth.ADOPTION PACKAGE:Thank you for your interest in adopting your next pet from The Haven. Each cat adoption fee of $125 includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, rabies vaccine and tag (age 3 months and up), microchip, deworming, flea/tick/heartworm preventative, testing for feline AIDS, leukemia, and heartworms, a free starter bag of Hills Science Diet, and coupons from area businesses.Please make sure you review the following as part of the adoption process:· Adopter must be 18 years of age or older.· A current government-issued photo ID (no student IDs) - such as a driver`s license, state ID, passport, military ID, etc.· Have a Meet and Greet with the animal and our adoption coordinator (These can be a virtual Meet and Greet session due to COVID-19)· Adopters are responsible for bringing their own travel carrier with them when picking up their new pet.· The Haven accepts cash, check, debit/credit card, or money order.* For adopters of cats and dogs aged 6 months or less, or those with a medical condition preventing immediate spaying or neutering, The Haven requires a signed Spay/Neuter (S/N) Agreement and a $100 cash deposit, refundable upon completion of the spay/neuter procedure.
