Barnaby

My story

A 13lb bundle of love and energy with long legs and an even longer list of lovable and fun traits! Barnaby's story began with a rough start—he was found abandoned tied to a tree-but that hasn't dulled his spirit one bit. Barnaby is very energetic and loves to play with his toys and will gladly sit right next to you on the couch with a few and just play! He's crate trained (with a few minutes of initial protests), sleeps through the night, and is potty trained like a champ. No begging at the dinner table and doesn't shed...the perfect little houseguest! He's curious about the world but more curious about you. Whether he's playing with his toys (for hours), staring out the window like a philosopher, or following you from room to room, he just wants to be part of your life and know where you are! Barnaby's currently learning his puppy commands-he's got "sit" down and is working on "stay." He's a quick learner who wants to please, and he thrives with encouragement, and patience. Ideal Home: Barnaby would do best in a home where someone is around —perhaps a remote worker or someone with a flexible schedule, although this dynamic could change once he is older and can be trusted alone out of his crate. He's still a puppy of course, so time & training is needed. He would do well with someone active to keep up with his energy, and someone with patience to help train thru the puppy phase. He's a bit shy around new people at first, and loud noises and large dog barks seem to spook him, but he warms up quickly, especially when patience and love are involved. If you're looking for a sweet, playful, loving little shadow who will stick to you like a barnacle (in the best way), Barnaby might just be your perfect fit! Barnaby is a male Affenpinscher mix with an estimated date of birth of 10/15/24.
