My story

Meet Parker Holmes! This playful, wiggly boy is friendly with everyone he meets. He knows ‘sit,’ takes treats gently, and loves squeaky toys! He’s has the cutest lil head tilt when he hears a squeak too! Parker walks nicely on leash, has great kennel manners, and is always ready for fun or snuggles. He’s the total package… just waiting for someone like you to take him home. Come meet Parker Holmes at ACCT Philly, open daily from 10 am to 6 pm VIDEOS: Parker Holmes would love to meet you 7/15/25: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/DG2t6q_EUqo?feature=shared Playgroup 7/12/25: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcnvoGYrJkIaDJI1rwTjF9dUqaVmx7NY2&si=qoqdh18-fEvsTDpt Introducing Parker Holmes: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/XZzugCRXPNA Parker Holmes having fun: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/owMQMvFH8fQ?feature=shared BEHAVIOR: Volunteer notes 7/15: Parker was in the main shelter today (previously located in AC) and standing calmly across the kennel. When I called his name he met me at the kennel door, exited calmly and controlled. Parker Holmes walked well on leash- no pulling, nice pace, straight walker & relaxed body. He was calm, relaxed and a pleasure to hang with. We went inside a run where Parker watched other dogs walk by with a steady gaze and his body language stayed relaxed. He took treats nicely and accepted pets on his head, back and chest. He was a very good boy today. Perfect gentleman. Returned to the kennel on his own and without issue. Per volunteer 7/14- Parker Holmes is the goodest boy and an absolute cutie pie! This boy loves his treats and is the most wholesome pup. He’s super friendly, easy to leash and walk, takes treats super gently and loves quality time with whoever will enjoy his company. He loves to run around, play with squeaky toys and getting pets all over. He’s an absolute gem. Volunteer notes 7/11: Parker was standing in front of his kennel and easy to leash as he walked controlled and calm to the outside. Parker had medium energy to start with pep in his step. He walked with minimal leash pulling and looked at me several times on our walk. When I sat down and offered treats, Parker Holmes was very focused on me and then also my treat pouch so I got up. Parker sat very very nicely for treats when asked. Back in the large run, Parker Holmes ran around, sniffed and hopped with energy. He jumped up toward me and I sent a correction that he responded to immediately with 4 paws on the ground. Parker Holmes heard and saw a squeaky toy and enjoyed chasing and carrying it. Very cute to see his ears up and bouncing as he ran around. He seemed very focused to earn a treat and earned many of them. He took them nicely. No issues with kennel return & over the head leash removal. Enjoyed my time meeting PH. Nice fun dog. 07/09/2025 volunteer notes: Kennel presentation: Parker was sitting at the front of his kennel, loose and wiggly with soft eyes. He allowed me to leash him while he say patiently waiting to go. Leash: minimal pulling Handling: in the room Parker was very loose and wiggly with everyone. At times he could be a bit jumpy, but overall he was good and he could be redirected with treats. He did some play bows in the room and some barking when he wanted attention. He showed that he knows sit and took treats nicely out of my hands. He was interested in squeaky toys and would even tilt his head when he heard them squeak! returning him to kennel I had no issues as he went right back in. Play: interested in play Toys: took possession of toys Color: experienced gold ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week.
