My story

Meet Alfie the 1yr Corgi! Alfie is a sweet, energetic and playful boy. He loves meeting new friends- both human and doggy! He loves spending his day chasing around his doggy siblings, sunbathing and chewing on bones. He does great with dogs of all sizes. He has had limited interactions with cats, but with proper introductions we think he would do fine living with a kitty sibling. Alfie is looking for a patient adoptive family, as he is working hard on overcoming some past trauma. Alfie was originally found as a stray and although we aren't sure of his backstory, we believe there was some mistreatment involved before he was dumped. He struggles when being grabbed at and leashed. Although he displays no reactive behaviors, when grabbed at he can scream and urinate himself. When leashed, he sometimes refuses to walk, cries and insists on being carried. He has already made progress on these things while in our care, but his adoptive family will need to continue helping him gain confidence in these areas. Alfie is house trained, crate trained and listens well to basic commands. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, HW- and microchipped. Does Alfie sound like a good fit for your family?
