Oh my cuteness! Meet Lemon Drop! If happiness had a face (and tiny, fluffed-up paws), it would look exactly like Lemon Drop! With her million-dollar smile, happy-go-lucky personality, and those ADORABLE short, stubby legs, Lemon Drop is the kind of pup who turns heads, causes “oohs and ahhs”, and melts hearts whenever she enters the room! Her foster family can’t get enough of her! She especially enjoys her morning routine. Every day Lemon Drop starts with a gentle cuddle and a few loving kisses to let you know she’s ready to start the day! She’s the perfect balance of affectionate and playful, and she adores being around people. Whether she’s laying across your lap or trotting beside you, Lemon Drop is your instant mood-lifter! This little aussie/corgi mix has the kind of looks that make you do a double take – from her signature booty fluff and perfectly feathered ears (one of which occasionally decides to stand at attention) to her soft doe eyes and paws that honestly look like she just stepped out of a salon. We believe she is around 7 months old and weighs approximately 28 pounds! Due to her being a rescue, age and breed are our best guesses and cannot be guaranteed! Check out Lemon Drop here: https://youtu.be/KExftxu58YQ She had so much fun during her visit with us! She did well on leash and showed her affectionate, people-oriented side right away. She lives harmoniously with several pups in her foster home and enjoys playing once she’s comfortable. You can see in her video how she hangs out in the heat with some of our resident pups and plays at home with her foster siblings! She’ll thrive with a medium-energy dog who knows how to give her space as she eases into new friendships. Lemon Drop also did well with our house cat Biggie, showing curiosity but no chase or pushiness, just a little unsure at first. She politely sniffed him and then disengaged while becoming interested in pets from the adoring behavior team. She showed us that with a gentle introduction, she could absolutely share a home with a dog savvy cat who knows the ropes of living harmoniously with pups. We’ve seen Lemon Drop around kids too, and she lights up in their presence! Her joyful energy and gentle spirit make her a perfect fit for a family home filled with love, laughter, and plenty of snuggles. She had a blast hanging out with Kobe (4) and Elijah (11). Her little nubbin of a tail couldn’t stop wagging back and forth! As far as housing goes, while she’d love a backyard, she’s easygoing enough for apartment life with the right daily adventures and enrichment! Her personality makes her the perfect dog to take out and explore new places! She has the leash skills, the people skills, the puppy skills, and now all she needs is a person who wants to include her in all the fun! Lemon Drop is not just a dog, she’s a whole vibe! She will make an excellent companion and will be a daily reminder that joy is often found in the littlest things! Ready for a cuddle bug who will start your mornings and end your days with kisses? Lemon Drop is ready to be the missing piece of your heart! Let us know how we can help bring her home to you! Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
