My story

Meet Mr. Chester, the sweetest little senior chihuahua. Chester is a shy boy and may take a bit to warm up to you. But once he’s your pal, he can’t get enough of snuggle time and cuddles. He always wants to know what’s going on and will follow you anywhere. Chester gets along great with other dogs. He stays out of the way of bigger dogs but will give them a quick check if they are pushing him around too much. He’s been blending in perfectly with the older dog at his foster home and would thrive in an environment with another buddy. His hobbies are car rides, napping, adventuring in the backyard garden, and rolling in the warm grass as many times as he can before going inside. He’s been quietly staying in his kennel on the days his foster mom must go into the office and then sleeping on her bed at night. He’s a master at bed sharing and always sleeps through the night. Chester is still working on official housetraining and doesn’t have a signal to go out yet, but he goes out on a schedule and always relieves himself when he’s out. Because of his tiny little legs, he doesn’t walk a super long distance on a leash, but he does love running in the grass when he can. He’s doing small stairs at his foster home and is doing great with that. Long staircases will be more challenging though. Chester is estimated to be 10 years old and 6 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested.
