My story

Hi, I`m Pearl! I`m a 7-year-old sweetheart with a smile that can brighten anyone’s day — seriously, I literally smile when I’m happy (and I’m happy a lot!). I’ve got a loving heart, a gentle soul, and I’m looking for a forever home where I can keep shining. When I first came to the shelter, I was carrying a few extra pounds, but thanks to regular walks and some healthy snacks, I’ve slimmed down and I’m feeling better than ever! I’m still learning how to walk nicely on a leash — sometimes I get a little too excited to explore — but I’m working hard on it and making great progress.One of my favorite things is spending time out of the kennel in the staff offices. I love lounging nearby, soaking up attention, and just being part of the action. If you`re looking for a loyal companion who smiles just for you, I might be your girl. Come meet me — I’d love to share some tail wags and happy grins!If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog`s better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict.*Pearl is foster to adopt while she heals from a dental procedure.The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neuteringAdoption fee: $95.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2025 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. The cost of the license is $9.20. (Senior Citizen or Person with Disability-$7.20)Leash and collar included.
