Meet Mabel! Your New Best Friend in Waiting! Mabel is a gentle, soulful senior with a heart full of love to give. This sweet girl found her way to HSSM after being picked up as a stray in Gulfport. While she came in without a collar or tags, we were hopeful when we discovered she was microchipped. Sadly, no family ever came forward, and all attempts to contact her previous owner led to dead ends. Now, Mabel is looking for a second chance at the loving home she truly deserves. At 9 and a half, she may be considered a “senior,” but don’t let her age fool you, Mabel still enjoys leisurely walks in the sunshine, sniffing out new adventures, and proudly carrying around her favorite squeaky toys. She walks like a dream on a leash and is as calm and well mannered as they come. Add in her love of tasty treats and belly rubs, and you’ve got the perfect companion. Mabel is fully vetted, up to date on all her vaccinations, and spayed. She has tested positive for heartworms, but don’t let that stop you from opening your heart to her.
