Deacon Jim

My story

Deacon Jim is a large and handsome German Shepherd dog with an estimated birthdate of 11/05/2022. He came to the Mission after his prior caretaker became too frail to continue looking after him.  Deacon is a nice dog who is toilet trained, crate trained, walks on leash, and rides well in a car. He has lived in two homes before coming to the Mission and he has had a very loved life. Deacon can present as shy initially, but he requires a competent and clear handler or he will become hard to manage. He is smart and willing to make his own decisions if he doesn't think his guardian is capable of taking charge and being a reliable leader.   Deacon is good with other dogs, is not suitable in a home with cats, and is most well suited to a home with kids 10+ who have the ability to give him autonomy when he's stressed out.  Deacon comes neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed.  His adoption fee is $200 and includes his leash, collar, ID tag, sample of his food, and his medical records.  To be considered to adopt, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application.  ##2399184##
