Mickey

My story

Five-year-old Mickey came into our care after retiring from life as a hunting dog. He has lived his whole life outdoors, so he wasn't familiar with the comforts of a dog bed or air conditioning, but he's learning quickly and seems to be enjoying the life all dogs should have. He is so sweet and gentle and really enjoys petting and attention. He gets along great with other dogs and was kennelled with them in his previous home. At 42 pounds, he is on the larger side for a Beagle. He has had all his vet care and is ready for a home. Since he didn't live indoors, he will need a little help with his housebreaking. Dogs 8 years and up are $250. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash. With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both. All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have two employees. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.
