My story

Meet Delphi (aka Scout) – a shy senior girl looking for a soft place to land after life threw her a curveball. She found herself back at Second Chance when her beloved person became seriously ill. Now, she’s hoping for a loving forever home where she can quietly thrive.Scout is the perfect companion for someone who enjoys a low-key, independent dog. She’ll greet you joyfully at the door with a happy wiggle and soft eyes, and then quietly retreat to her favorite spot until it’s time for ear rubs or a snack. She’s affectionate but happy to give you space.She’s lived peacefully with both dogs and cats, and while she gets along well with other pups, she does prefer a calm environment. She’ll politely let overenthusiastic playmates know when she needs a little space. Scout also has excellent indoor manners. She’s trusted to roam freely in her foster home and sleeps contentedly on her dog bed at night.She’ll bark only when there’s something important to say – like a package arriving or someone at the door. If you’re looking for a sweet, steady companion who asks for little but gives love freely in her own quiet way, Scout might just be your perfect match.***Please Note: All the available dogs listed on our website are getting spoiled in private foster homes. If someone has caught your eye and you wish to arrange a meet and greet, we do need you to fill out the adoption application. When your adoption application is received our screening team will verify the information given. Once your application has been confirmed and approved, we will be send it over to the foster parent for review to determine if your home is a good match for the dog. In the event one lucky dog receives multiple applications, please know we do not select based on a first come basis. We try our best to select the best-fit for our animals and families. ***
