My story

Meet Midnight 🌙 (formerly known as Blackjack). He's a gentle, shy sweetheart looking for a fresh start and a little peace and quiet. This lovely black cat was originally found as a stray and spent some time at the Henderson shelter, where he showed his friendly, affectionate side — even snuggling into staff arms when carried. He was recently adopted, but sadly when his new home turned out to include one very loud and pushy chihuahua, Midnight was simply too overwhelmed to settle in, and his adopter knew he deserved a calmer environment. Now safe with us at Homeward Bound, Midnight is once again trying to make sense of his world. While he’s still a bit unsure, he’s easy to handle, appreciates quiet affection, and is slowly beginning to trust. With patience, a calm home, and some TLC, Midnight is sure to blossom into the loving, loyal companion he truly is.
