My story

Meet Iris! Iris is a beautiful 3-year-old brown and orange torbie female with a gentle spirit and a loving heart. As sweet as can be, Iris is one of our special needs cats because she is blind. But don’t let that fool you—she navigates her surroundings with confidence and lives life just like any other cat. She loves treats, toys, and especially cuddles! Iris will thrive best in a calm, consistent home with a few thoughtful accommodations to help her feel secure. Our adoptions staff is happy to provide guidance on how to support this special girl and help her continue to flourish. Iris is here with Tulip who is also visually impaired. Iris is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and has received preventative treatments to ensure she’s healthy and ready for her next chapter. To meet Iris visit the Best Friends New York Soho Lifesaving Center at 307 West Broadway, New York, NY, near Canal Street. We're open daily from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. Please remember, pets cannot be held or reserved. Come by and see if Iris is the perfect match for you!
