Meet Portobella - The Perfect Package!My foster writes:Portabella is truly the belle of the ball!She enjoys adventures around the neighborhood, jaunting around grassy fields, and getting her zoomies out a the dog park. She's tennis ball curious and will run after anything you toss for her (not always a guarantee that she'll bring it back!). Portabella is very food motivated and knows sit, paw, down, stay, and come.She is a friendly, quiet girl (I've only heard her bark twice - and a quiet one-time bark at that). She is happy lounging on the couch (she loves nestling up on a pillow) or in your bed, and is just as happy to get up and run around. She loves treat puzzles and is a very big fan of catching flies (no success yet).I have had the honor and luxury of getting to foster her and she would be an amazing addition to a family, couple, single person, or anyone in between who is looking for a loyal companion to give and receive love, give you her beautiful puppy dog eyes, and someone who is ALWAYS wiggly and excited when you come home.Portobella is truly a 10/10 dog! This sweet shepherd mix has the perfect balance of energy and chill. She loves going on long 4-mile walks if you are up for it but is just as happy curling up to watch TV in bed. She is food-motivated and eager to please, she enjoys working on food puzzles (she's still mastering level 1!) and adores a frozen peanut butter Kong.Portobella has shown no interest in my cats, even when separated by a glass door-she's much more fascinated by the smell of their food! She's been polite passing other dogs on walks and redirects easily. While she's still learning her leash manners, she's improving every day.Apartment living? No problem! Portobella is quiet, respectful of belongings, fully house-trained, and naps contently while you work. She loves belly rubs and pats but isn't clingy-just the right mix of affectionate and independence. With her shepherd looks in a smaller, lower-maintenance package, Portobella would make a wonderful companion for someone with other pets or for anyone looking for a loyal best friend.
