My story

Hi there, I’m Sally—but my foster family calls me Mustang Sally because I’m always on the move! I’m smart, spirited, and super affectionate. I’ve got a gorgeous hide-patterned coat and a big personality to match. I even beat Parvo like a champ, so you know I’m a fighter with a huge heart.I love belly rubs and will happily flop over anytime you’re near. I also love to snuggle... after I’ve finished enthusiastically cleaning your ear or cheek (don’t worry, I’m learning to nibble less—I just get so excited to love on you!). I’m food motivated and not shy about reminding you it’s dinnertime. Let’s just say I have strong feelings about snack delays.I’ve figured out the dog door all by myself (thank you very much), and I’m about 95% housetrained. I’ll use a puppy pad if the weather’s bad. I know “sit” and “down,” and I’m pretty respectful—though if I get a little jumpy or noisy, a quick mist with the water bottle gets my attention.I sleep in my crate all night like a good girl and only speak up if I really need something. I love toys, wrestling with my sister Sara, sniffing around the backyard, and just being wherever my humans are. I’ve met other dogs (big and small), a cat I love to play with, and even human kids—I like them all!If you’re looking for a smart, loving, velcro dog who’s full of personality and ready to stick by your side through thick and thin… that’s me, Mustang Sally, true-blue Coonhound and your new best friend.My adoption fee of $100 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday, Friday and Saturday are walk in from 10-5.
