My story

This spunky, playful pup is ready to wiggle her way into your heart — and your arms! She will be back from foster on Thursday July 17th, 2025. Come scoop her up during open hours at the shelter.We`ve learned that Spinach is a total sweetheart who gets along with everyone. She loves being outside, whether she’s sunbathing in the grass or going on walks (she’s great on a leash, especially with a front-clip harness). She’s calm and quiet around bikes, dogs, and people passing by.Spinach is still a puppy, so she’s working on her manners — she can be jumpy and a little mouthy during play — but she redirects easily with toys and can entertain herself for ages (though tug-of-war is her #1 favorite). She does great in a crate overnight, but is still working on being 100% comfortable being left alone during the day. While initial she showed some some hesitation around men, she warmed up to her foster’s husband within minutes — a few pets and some gentle words did the trick.
