My story

MEET JAKE - FOSTER TO ADOPT WELCOMED OR TWO WEEK ADOPTION TRAIL Jake has been working hard to get into Colorado shape these last few months. He is overweight and needs to keep shedding pounds but he is able to run, swim, and go for adventures with his foster family now! He does have some arthritis and will need a home dedicated to keeping him moving and keeping up with his monthly shots to keep him pain free. He is otherwise a very healthy and fun loving guy! About Jake: *House and crate trained *Leash trained and LOVES to walk, run, and swim! *He loves to give you his paw *Swimming and dock diving with his foster sisters. *Car rides *Playing with his toys. He absolutely loves a game of tug. *Settles well in the house while you are working. He has been through a lot in his life and has some reactivity from this but he is working hard and would love a quiet neighborhood for walks or a yard for play time. He is really just a big old polar bear! He is great with other calm dogs and cats with a slow intro. Jake does also have some handling sensitivity so he will do best in a home without kids and owners who are willing to give him a few days to settle in. Jake’s previous owner was a male so he absolutely adores men. He takes a little bit longer to warm up to women but his foster mom won him over by day 2 with some cheese and lunch meat.
