My story

Meet Lucy – Part Dog, Part Fox, All Heart Personality One look at Lucy and you'd swear she's part fox - sleek black coat, stunning pointed features, alert posture, and those mischievous, watchful eyes. You half expect her to disappear into a forest and reappear with a secret. But instead of foraging in the woods, this little fox-dog prefers a soft bed, a quiet routine, and the company of kind-hearted humans and playful dogs. Lucy is sweet and gentle, though still working on her confidence. New experiences can be a little overwhelming, but it only takes about a day for her to begin settling into a new routine. She’s starting to come nose boop you for a quick lick and is showing signs of blossoming into a loyal companion who just needs a bit of time to bloom. Energy Level Lucy enjoys light daily activity - short walks, some careful play, and yard zoomies. She’s recovering from FHO surgery but is doing great. She's still building up muscle in her back leg, but you wouldn’t know it when she’s zipping happily around the yard (no WWE-style wrestling, please!). She’s happiest with another respectful dog who will invite her to play but won’t bowl her over. She’s currently fostering with a group of tiny puppies and couldn’t be more delighted with the chaos—they bring out her playful side in the best way. Skills and Training - Crate trained and quiet - Working on housebreaking - doing great so far - Still nervous on a leash, so training is ongoing (beginning work with harness) - Comfortable in a fenced yard where she can explore at her own pace - Loves other dogs - blossoms around them - Just beginning to seek affection—nose licks and soft tail wags are her love language Companionship Lucy will thrive in a calm home with a well-mannered dog buddy and a fenced yard. She’s fine with kids but would do best with older, quieter ones who understand the need for gentleness and space. And while she’s still learning to trust, she bonds quickly with her people and other pups. Love and Affection Lucy may not be a lap dog yet, but she’s full of soft, silent affection. She loves to sleep near you, peek around corners to check in, and wag her tail when you say her name. With time, she’s going to be someone’s most loyal and loving friend - the kind of companion who quietly fills your heart and surprises you with joy. She's the fox-faced friend you didn’t know you needed. Included Veterinary Care - Visit to veterinarian for health certificate - Up to date on vaccinations for her age - Spayed - Microchipped - Heartworm preventative - Flea and tick preventative - Worm/parasite treatments Lucy is a fox in dog’s clothing - mysterious, beautiful, and full of quiet charm. She’s ready to write her next chapter with a patient, loving family who will help her find the confidence to shine.
