My story

Hi, I’m Nuri — a one-year-old Jindo girl with a gentle heart and a curious nose. I was once left all alone in an apartment complex, surrounded by danger and uncertainty. But thankfully, someone kind found me and gave me a second chance. Now, I’m dreaming of a forever family to call my own. I get along well with other dogs, especially the calm and gentle ones. But if a dog is too big or super hyper, I get a little nervous. I’ll admit, I can be a bit jealous when it comes to attention — if another dog is getting pets from my foster parent, I’ll quietly come over and ask for some love too. I just want to know I matter to someone. I’m a polite girl when it comes to people. If I feel like someone wants to meet me, I’ll happily walk over to say hello. But if they’re not interested, I’ll quietly let them be. I’ve learned not to push — but oh, how I light up when someone chooses me. Walks are one of my favorite things. I walk really well on leash, and I love exploring new places! Sometimes I get a little silly and try to catch flying flowers or bees (don’t worry, I’ve never caught one). And for some reason, whenever I see a man around 40 to 60 years old, I pause and take a sniff — maybe it reminds me of someone from my past. I’m not too sensitive to noise, but I do get scared when people play basketball. That bouncing sound makes me nervous. I’m also not a fan of squeaky toys — they just aren’t my thing. But give me a nice walk, some quiet love, and meat (yes, please no vegetables!) and I’ll be the happiest pup around. One thing you should know: I don’t like to do my business near home. I prefer to walk a bit further before I go potty. It’s just my way. And though I sometimes bark at overly energetic dogs at the dog park, I’d honestly rather go on a long peaceful walk with you. I may not be perfect, but with positive reinforcement and a little patience, I know I’ll blossom. I’m still learning to trust fully, but I’m ready — ready to love, to explore, and to become part of your family. So… will you be my forever? With love, Nuri 🐾
