My story

This pretty girl is Whimsy! She ended up at the shelter as a lost girl on 6/28, and sadly, her family didn't come to reclaim her. They must have discovered she was at the shelter and decided to surrender her though because we do know that Whimsy is house-trained, good with other dogs, but not good with cats. The volunteers describe Whimsy as friendly and curious, but very scared in the loud, overwhelming shelter. She hides on the backside of her run and isn't being seen by potential adopters. If you have room in your heart and home for a shy dog who we're sure will open up with time and patience, please come meet Whimsy. She's in need of a hero! Whimsy is 4 years old and weighs 65 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines and did test negative for heartworms. She will be spayed and microchipped upon adoption. Whimsy is waiting in run 858; her ID # is 11499. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
