Akira’s Hobbies Include: • Long walks on the trail (or just the living room if you’re busy) • Splashing in anything that remotely resembles water—creeks, puddles, pools? Yes please! • Wrestling with any dog who dares challenge her to a play session—she LOVES other pups • Snuggling so hard you forget she’s not actually a lap dog • Redecorating her toys by removing all the fluff (she calls it “interior demolition”...no squeakers please!) • Chewing happily on stuffed frozen KONGs, rope toys, and peanut butter-filled bones Akira is: ✔️ Spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped ✔️ House-trained and crate-trained ✔️ Great with dogs of all sizes ✔️ Outdoorsy and into Netflix marathons ✔️ A ride-or-die trail pal and the perfect family or adventure dog Her only “flaw”? She has a deep philosophical disagreement with fluff. If it’s stuffed, she’ll unstuff it—with joy. And she may borrow the occasional sock, but hey… nobody’s perfect. ⸻ 🎒 Hiking boots ready? Requirements And Donations - Required Adoption Day Items: A martingale collar and a non-retractable leash (available for purchase at ODHS). - Adoption Donations: Puppies (under 1 year): $375; Adults: $275; Seniors (age-dependent): $175; Select dogs: $500. We accept cash, debit, and credit cards. - Adoption Radius: Within 350 miles of Fredericksburg, VA. A $50 out-of-state fee applies. - Breed Identification: Dogs are listed as "Mixed Breed" unless formal documentation is available. Location And Hours - Visit our adoption center at 3602 Lafayette Blvd, Fredericksburg, VA 22408 during adoption hours: Wednesday 5-7 PM; Friday 6-8 PM; Saturday 11 AM-3 PM; Sunday 11 AM-1 PM. - We also host adoption events throughout our community.
