My story

Hi, I’m Lokey!I’m a gentle, laid-back guy who’s just starting to come out of my shell. At heart, I’m a total couch potato. I love lounging in sunny spots during the day and curling up in a cozy lap in the evening. I’m not quite sure about being picked up yet, and I get a little nervous when there’s a lot of movement around me, but with time and patience, I’ve been learning that people can be pretty great!I have the softest fur around my neck (everyone says so!) and I especially enjoy gentle scratches and pets in the morning. I live with my sister, Jazzy. I like being around her, even though she sometimes gets a little feisty with me. I haven’t met other animals yet, but I think I’d do best in a calm home with another friendly cat who understands that I need a little space at first.Because I’m still learning to feel confident, I take gabapentin to help me relax as I adjust to new things. My perfect family would be patient, understanding, and happy to let me take things at my own pace. Once I feel safe, I’ll reward you with quiet companionship, soft fur, and a sweet, mellow presence by your side.I also qualify for the Welcome Trial program, which means you can take me home for up to 14 days to make sure I’m the perfect fit before making things official.
