My story

Meet Rosie, a 7-year-old Labrador Retriever who came to Big Dog Ranch from a breeder in South Dakota. Her past hasn’t been the easiest, but she’s ready to start a new chapter with a patient and understanding adopter. Because of her background, Rosie would do best with someone who has prior experience with dogs—especially the Labrador breed—and can help her continue building confidence and trust. Rosie has a moderate energy level and enjoys her daily walks, doing well on a leash. She’s still working on her basic commands and potty training, so a consistent routine and gentle guidance will be important. She gets along well with other dogs but can be protective of her food, so feeding her separately from other canine companions will help set her up for success. Once she warms up, Rosie becomes an affectionate, cuddly friend who also loves to play with toys. With patience, structure, and continued training, she’ll make a loyal and loving addition to the right home!
