Snoopy is a male husky mix with a white coat and black face. He has beautiful dark puppy eyes and the sweetest gaze that will melt your heart. His birthday is somewhere around the end of March. He has a small black spot on his back and beautiful big paws. Sometimes when he runs, he looks like an animated cartoon dog, which is fitting. He loves to romp and wrestle with his sisters and enjoys being held and cuddled. He is gentle with other dogs and doesn’t bother the cats who live with him. Still, he may need supervision with them until he is a little older. He is sometimes curious about them but moves away when called or hissed at. Snoopy knows his name well and is doing well with crate training and potty training. He is currently taken outside about once every two hours but may need help focusing on the task because he would rather spend the time playing with his sister Molly or simply lying down to rest in the grass. He is easily lured back into the crate with a few pieces of kibble tossed inside ahead of him; however, he is getting wise to this trick. Luckily, he really likes to eat and only hesitates for a second or two. He is very affectionate and likes to romp and wrestle with his sisters and can sometimes get a little loud. A little kibble tossed into the crate usually redirects everyone’s focus. If he’s really wired up, a potty break outside usually helps him stretch his legs and run off some of his energy. Snoopy likes to sit on top of things (just like his cartoon namesake) but so far isn’t too difficult to keep off the furniture if that isn’t something his forever family allows. He loves to follow his humans around the house and to chew on his toys (and sticks and mulch and phone cables and paper towels and stray organic material in the yard and shoes, so please keep those out of his reach). Like his two siblings, he acts like a Tasmanian devil at mealtimes, but he is learning that there’s enough for everyone and that it’s okay to slow down. It’s best to feed him and other pets separately as he may gobble up everyone’s food and possibly growl at them and that wouldn’t be a very nice way to get off on a good foot with a new family.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Snoopy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
