Momma is a 4-year-old female pit mix who’s potty trained, crate trained, and knows all her basic commands. She’s deeply loyal and wants nothing more than to love and protect her person—but she needs the right home to thrive. Momma is currently with her owner, who loves her deeply but can’t keep her due to her reactivity with other dogs. She needs a home where she’s the only pet, with no other dogs, no cats, and no children. She’s not aggressive toward people, but she gets fearful and tense when young kids run up or try to pet her from above. Here’s what you need to know: 4 years old, pit mix Potty trained & crate trained Knows all her basic commands and wants to please Very strong on leash—needs a confident handler who can be the leader Not good with dogs, cats, or young kids High prey drive (loves chasing chipmunks) Loves car rides, tug-of-war, stuffed toys, and especially couch cuddles Extremely loyal and protective—would thrive with a calm, adult-only home Momma is a great match for someone who lives alone or in a quiet home without a lot of visitors. She bonds deeply and becomes very protective of her person—she just wants to feel safe and know who she belongs to. Right now, she doesn’t get much exercise—just one walk a day and some time in the yard. She’s slightly overweight but would love a routine where she can safely stretch her legs and get in some movement with you.
