My story

ABOUT HOPPS! Meet Hopps, our handsome 12-year-old man! This gentleman came to HAP after his owner passed away. While this was a big change for Hopps, who had lived in one home with one family his whole life, he settled in pretty easily. Hopps is a true people's person, he loves to be around his human friends! He isn't much for playing, but he loves to follow his humans around and flop at their feet until they pet him! *Hopps gets along well with other cats, though we recommend older/calmer kitties due to his age. We aren't sure how he'd do with dogs or children, but older/calmer ones would probably be fine. **Hopps is visually impaired, though we aren't sure to what extent. He gets around well, but does need some time to get used to his surroundings. He has some weakness in his hind quarters, which cause him to be unsteady on his feet. He can walk and get around fine, but he's a bit wobbly. Hopps is on a urinary diet, as he has had blockages previously. ***If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.
