My story

Meet Lucie!This sweet but sensitive three month old female kitten is ready, with her sister Wendy, to find their forever home! Lucie and her sister were brought to our shelter desperately needing care. Lucie had infections in both of her eyes, and her left eye had been left untreated for so long that we had to make the difficult decision to remove it in order to preserve her health. The only constant for Lucie in these last few tumultuous weeks has been her sister Wendy, who has stayed by her side and undergone similar medical treatment. They have given each other support and a sense of safety throughout their entire lives and we couldn`t possibly separate them. Therefore, Lucie and Wendy are a bonded pair and must go to the same home together.Due to their history and impairments, both Lucie and Wendy are sensitive kittens. It takes them a bit longer than the average kitten to warm up to new people and environments. These little girls will need all the time and space they can get to acclimate to their forever home before they open up and show their forever family just how cuddly and affectionate they can be.Wendy and Lucie would likely do best in a lower-traffic quieter home, free from loud noises and frequent disturbance. These girls may appreciate a cat companion or two in their forever home to help show them the ropes and serve as a guide. However, we do not know if Lucie and Wendy have lived around adult cats previously. Due to this and their sensitive nature, we highly recommend slow introductions between the girls and their potential feline family members.
