My story

What can we say about Mister Alvin? He’s a strikingly handsome, mid-sized gent who has made it pretty clear that the shelter life is not for him. It’s simply too loud, too busy, and not enough throw pillows, thank you. Alvin would much rather be lounging beside his person—whether it’s on a porch swing or the couch—enjoying some peace and quiet with his tongue flapping in the breeze. He’s smart and eager to learn, especially if snacks are involved and loves his toys, too. While he’s currently not feeling too chummy with other dogs (can you blame him with all the chaos?), his stress might just melt away with a little calm and cozy TLC. Alvin is ready for a human of his own, someone who sees the amazing little man we know he can be.All adoptable pets are spayed/neutered (or scheduled), vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go home today! No pre-application or appointment needed—just bring a valid ID and walk in. Our adoption fees are among the lowest in Cincinnati!To meet our animals, visit our Northside shelters any day from 1–6pm.
