My story

(DOB: 04/22/2025) Due to Delaney’s young age, she has not yet been spayed. For this reason, we are only considering local placement (within a 1-hour drive time of Wake Forest, NC).  Delaney is a sweet, loving, and spirited puppy with a BIG personality packed into her small frame. Though one of the smaller pups in her litter, she’s been full of fight, delight, and determination since day one. She’s playful, smart, and energetic, with a happy-go-lucky nature that makes everyone fall in love with her. Delaney is not only a people pleaser but also a social butterfly! She thrives in the company of other dogs, making new friends wherever she goes. Her playful spirit is contagious, and you will often find her engaging in fun playtime sessions, whether chasing a ball or tugging on her favorite toy.  She’s great with all dogs and must have a playful dog buddy in her forever home to keep her company and burn off that puppy energy. She’s also respectful of cats, giving them space once they’ve had enough attention. She really adores the kitties in her foster home; very cute indeed! She adores people, especially kids (just make sure they aren't too, too young for puppy teeth & puppy play), and is always up for some cuddle time or curling up for TV time. As a young pup, Delaney is still working on house and crate training. She’ll need a patient family with a consistent routine and someone home most of the day to help her through this important stage. Like all puppies, she’s a little sponge—so this is the perfect time to teach her basic commands and manners, including those leash skills she's just starting to learn. So make sure you make time each and every day to spend time with her on positive reinforcement training. You will both be rewarded on the outcome. Food is one of Delaney’s greatest loves, and it is no surprise that she is incredibly food motivated. This makes training a breeze—she learns commands and tricks faster than you can say "treat"! With a curious mind and eagerness to please, Delaney is always up for a play time and training time; they can be easily combined! New experiences, of all kinds, are great for puppies and build their character and confidence. This includes things they don't always love right away; for Delaney, that would be car rides. Delaney thinks the car is a wierd and wild thing, so it still makes her car sick. If you see her "turning green", you'll know why. With time, she will likely grow out of this. All in all, she’s a low-maintenance sweetheart who just wants love, playtime, and a cozy spot to snuggle.Plus, she has the most beautiful markings and soft coat! If you're ready to welcome a fun, cuddly, and clever pup into your life, Delaney might be your perfect match! As part of Delaney’s $325 adoption fee, she will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. In addition to the adoption fee, a $100 spay/neuter deposit and puppy spay/neuter agreement will also be required.
