My story

Say hello to Chimp, a friendly girl who’s as adorable as her name suggests! She was surrendered to our shelter in mid-June along with her wildly named siblings—Orangutan, Monkey and Baboon. While their names may sound like a jungle troop, this little crew is all cuddles, not chaos. Chimp is a sweet and social girl who loves attention and playtime. Whether she’s chasing toys, tumbling with a sibling, or checking out the latest action from her favorite perch, she’s always finding new ways to explore her world. With a curious spirit and an affectionate nature, Chimp is the perfect mix of playful energy and snuggly charm. What to Expect When Adopting a Kitten Like Chimp: * High energy – Like most kittens, Chimp is active and curious. She’ll need daily playtime and lots of toys to keep her engaged and help her burn off energy in healthy ways. * Exploration & climbing – She’s at that age where everything is new and exciting, so kitten-proofing your space is a must! * Affection & attention – While she’s playful, she also thrives on interaction and will want quality time with her people. * Ongoing care – A healthy kitten like Chimp still needs regular vet checkups, quality kitten food, clean litter boxes, and lots of love and guidance as she grows. If you’re looking to add a kitten to your home who’s full of life, curiosity and charm—and maybe even considering a double adoption with a sibling—Chimp might just be your perfect match! The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times.
