My story

Meet Evangeline 🦋 Evangeline is 9 months old, ~40 lbs, and HW - While she might be timid at first, with time she warms up quick and becomes a very playful and affectionate doggy. Evangeline will thrive in a patient, loving home that can continue helping her grow in confidence. A quiet environment, routine potty breaks, and maybe a dog sibling to show her the ropes would be ideal. She’s still young and has so much love to give—she just needs someone to believe in her Here are some of her attributes: -🎾LOVES fetch! She can do this for so long, and it’s a great way to get her puppy energy out -🚗Rides great in a car, she is very quiet riding in the backseat and has mastered getting in/out without hesitation and needing lifting -🏡While not 100% potty trained, she would do well with consistency & someone letting her out often -🐾She does great in a crate when left alone, she may whine a little but with a “no” she will quite down and settle, especially when she has a lick mat with her -🐶She has been very friendly around another dog in the home, initiating play sometimes, but for the most part is pretty neutral and independent -🦮Getting the hang of walking, at first she seemed like she had never been walked on a leash before and was scared of her surroundings, but now she is MUCH better & shows interest in walks and is a great loose leash walker. -🧍🏽‍♂️Still weary of strangers and people getting too close, she needs someone who will work with her on learning the world is not so scary -🩵She loves to be near her person and will show you lots of love -🦴She likes to chew on toys and bones often as well, so some tough and durable toys are needed 💪🏽 As always, we strongly suggest setting up a meet and greet with any resident dogs before taking Evangeline home. Please ensure that your resident dogs are up to date on their rabies, Bordetella, and distemper/parvo.
