My story

Meet Daxle! This big, beautiful boy is looking for a soft place to land after a rough start in life. Daxle is 5 years old and weighs in at a whopping 21 pounds — all the more to love! Daxle has been through a lot during his time in our care. He’s had two surgeries for entropion, a painful condition where his eyelids turned inward, and he bravely healed from a deep abscess in his neck that required a long recovery. Through it all, he remained gentle and trusting. He’s also FIV positive, which just means his immune system needs a little extra love and care— but he can still live a happy, full life! Daxle also has Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD), so he’ll need a prescription urinary diet and a low-stress home to help keep him healthy and comfortable. Despite everything he’s been through, Daxle is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and mellow. He gets along just fine with other animals, as long as they give him the space he deserves.
