My story

Meet Zoomer, the senior kitty. Despite being an older cat, she is spry and social. She enjoys interactions on her terms – allows to be picked up but doesn’t really enjoy being held. Zoomer has lived with other cat-friendly cats and has done well. A home with a feline may be a fit in her next spot with a slow, thoughtful introduction. Dogs are not really her jam so a home free of canines is required. Fun fact about Zoomer – she does not like singing so a home free of singing would be much appreciated by her! Zoomer has a history of being indoor/outdoors so a home with supervised time outdoors while her guardian sips some coffee may be in her future!Zoomer`s adoption fee is sponsored by the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation thanks to “Leave No One Behind fund” – designed to adopter’s eyes towards animals who have been in the Shelter’s care a little longer than average waiting for the right adopter.Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
