My story

Zeus is a handsome 4 yr old, 15lb, Havanese/Yorkie mix with possibly some Dachshund too. Sadly, Zeus came to us with Ga-lenda after their owner passed away at a young age.  They are not a bonded pair.  Zeus is all about love, fun, and cuddles! His foster mom says he has a gentle heart and a playful energy; Zeus is the perfect blend of snuggly and spirited. He loves to be close to his people and will happily curl up next to you whenever you sit down. He’s active and playful, but never too busy for some one-on-one attention. Zeus could be an only dog or have another dog in the home under 20lbs. Zeus requires regular combing and grooming. Zeus is doing very well with housetraining and is working on leash walking. The adoption range for this dog is limited to NC, SC, VA and East TN. If you are interested in adopting this dog, contact h2hadoptions@gmail.com. There is an application process and adoption fee. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD.  The secure fence must be at least 4 feet or higher with gaps no larger than 3 inches and attached to the home.  An invisible fence, enclosed patio or terrace without grass, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing), it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business days. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, NC to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines, and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing. Adoption fee: $350July 11, 2025, 11:58 pm
