My story

Lilah is at our Bucktown Adoption Center (2144 N. Wood St.) You can visit our Adoption Center at any time during open hours, no appointment needed. Lilah is: Spayed: Yes! Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized More about Lilah: Housebroken: Doing well when on a consistent routine with frequent potty breaks! Crate trained: Yes! Leash walking: Doing well! Dog social: She has seemed friendly and curious when encountering other dogs on walks Cat social: She lives with cats in her foster home and has been kept separated still, but has seemed interested in them and playful. She may do fine with confident, dog-savvy cats. Kid friendly: Yes! Lilah has not lived with kids while in our care but has been gentle and friendly when meeting them at our adoption events. Lilah likes: - Doing her little happy dance when you get home - Going for car rides - Giving you kisses! Lilah is an absolute gem. She is sweet as sugar, and when you're home, she just wants to be near you. She loves to snuggle on the couch (and she snuggles HARD) but she's also happy to hang out across the room and keep an eye on you while you're cooking or working. Though she's currently on exercise restriction due to heartworm, she's an A+ leash walker who's going to be a great hiking or adventure buddy when she's healthy. She's also never met a stranger--dog or human!--and has the makings of a perfect patio pup. She sleeps quietly in her crate at night or if you're out and about during the day, but the best thing is seeing her wiggly happy dance when you come home--she says no tail? No problem: full-body wag! Lilah is heartworm positive and on activity restriction. She is undergoing treatment at Ellis Clinic at no charge to their adopter. Heartworm is a treatable disease that most dogs make a full recovery from. You can learn more about heartworm treatment on our resource page -https://www.onetail.org/heartworm/ Lilah's adoption fee is $300, and she is ready to share her heart with her new family!
