My story

Meet Tessa! Tessa came to us as a stray in rough condition. She was emaciated, dehydrated, and filthy. Thankfully Tessa is bouncing back physically, she has put on weight and is looking better every day. However emotionally Tessa is still in desperate need of TLC, as she is struggling to gain confidence in the chaotic shelter environment. Tessa is fearful of strangers and will take some time to warm up to new people, so she is hoping that her new family will give her patience and time to open up. Though she is nervous as first, once Tessa is comfortable with you she wants to be your shadow, and is sure to follow you everywhere. Being a young puppy still, Tessa is looking for a home that will help her catch up on socialization and training so she can be her best four-legged self. She will need a home without young children. Tessa is undersocialized and fearful of other dogs, so she may need time to warm up to another doggy companion in the home. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Tessa home.
