My story

Small and mighty Aphrodite! This pretty petite pit mix is a perfect medium size at 46 lbs. She`s named after the goddess of love, and she does love affection and cuddles. Once warmed up, Aphrodite will try to sneakily wiggle her way into your lap! Like the goddess that she is, she likes to take the lead, at least on walks. She can be a little timid at first but Aphrodite is a friendly girl at heart. Aphrodite takes treats gently and can`t wait to be a part of a family!Like all our adult dogs, Aphrodite will need to meet future canine companions before going home. Our shelter staff will lead their introductions in a safe environment to see if they are compatible. Come fall in love with her at our Zona Rosa location!Aphrodite was able to go on a Dog Day Out recently and this is what they had to say, `We kicked off our day with a brisk walk to get acquainted. Once she warmed up to us, we hit the road and she settled into the car like a pro, ready to see where the day would take her. Once at the fenced yard, she ran around chasing a ball. As soon as she got tired, she’d flop down next to us for some belly rubs. She entertained herself well with toys but was also happy to just be my shadow. Later, she claimed her spot on the couch beside me with her favorite toy. Aphrodite is a happy, affectionate, and easygoing girl who`s just waiting to brighten someone’s life with her sweet presence.`Aphrodite is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for a loving forever home!Her ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.
