My story

Leila is a mellow sweetheart looking for a cozy foster home where she can rest her paws and heal up. With her soft eyes (a little goopy right now), a few worn teeth, and a belly bump we’re keeping an eye on, she’s just hoping for a quiet spot and some TLC while we learn more about her.Leila is one of the 40 brave pups rescued from the Central Texas flood zone, and she’s as sweet as they come. She knows all her basic commands and would love a calm foster home where she can rest, recover, and soak up some love while we sort out her minor medical needs.Reason for Foster: conjunctivitis, awaiting vet re-check, monitor for signs of heat (no spay scar but suspect she may have been spayed as a puppy), may need dental surgery. Foster Time Frame: 3+ weeks (re-check appointment 1-2 weeks) (The foster time frame may be longer depending on future rechecks and medical needs.) Foster Care Plan: Twice a day eye drops. We will provide a medical consultation at your pickup appointment and the Foster team will supply all necessary items for a successful foster journey. Foster to Adopt: Leila is available for our Foster to Adopt Program, which allows pets to be placed with prospective adopters before they become available for adoption.
