PRE-ADOPTION OPPORTUNITY: Ryanne will be ready for adoption Aug 1, 2025 (she is waiting to be spayed). Introducing Ryanne! Peppy, social, chatty, unwaveringly affectionate, sweet, and a little sassy, Ryanne is an absolute doll who adores people more than the air she breathes! - More pictures (and videos!) of Ryanne: https://bit.ly/KyFosterKittens RYANNES STORY: Ryanne was rescued in a park where she was found, emaciated, dehydrated, and filthy. She was looking for food in a trashcan when he found her; she was covered in fleas, ticks, burrs, and mud. Ryanne was thrilled with being saved and without any hesitation, started purring and showing gratitude at being found to her rescuer. He brought her back to his home and fed her, bathed her as best he could, and cared for her. Ryan was devastated he could not keep her (he travels for work constantly), but he gave her to us (her fosters) so she could have friends to grow up with and the best chance at life. We named her "Ryanne" in honor of her rescuer. RYANNE'S PERSONALITY: If Ryanne was a person, she would be a movie star. She has one of those magnetic personalities that light up a room and you cannot help but notice her. She is the bell of the ball and the main event. Not only does her silvery grey-blue beautiful long-hair make her striking, her personality is truly incredible. She is bold, confident, social, and vocal. This girl knows what she wants in life and goes after it with a passion most people lack. While she enjoys the company of her foster kitten playmates, we cannot overstate enough: people are her FAVORITE. She will willingly dump a playdate with a kitten for cuddle time with a person. As shown in her rescue story, Ryanne is fearless and has never met a stranger. She loves people willingly and freely, and snuggles with a boundless enthusiasm. Her emotional intelligence is impressive, alongside her traditional intelligence. You can see the gears whirring in her head as you talk to her or she's trying to solve food puzzles, navigate new obstacles, etc. Wicked smart, she figured out her name immediately and will have full conversations with you when you say HER name (not the name of the other cats). She is attentive, curious, and if that cotton-ball fluff of a body doesn't melt your heart, you may need to consult a cardiologist. She has grown up with cats and it is recommended she has a Forever Family with a kitty companion to call her own. CARING FOR RYANNE: Although not DNA tested, Ryanne is considered to be predominantly Persian in breed (or at least her fur is). As a result, she will need additional grooming care and attention compared with her domestic short-hair counterparts. Luxurious and striking, her long hair is stunning but also prone to matting. Thus, she will need to go to a home with cat owners who have grooming experience and/or are willing to get her professionally groomed (as needed) to support coat health. PLEASE INDICATE YOUR EXPERIENCE grooming Persians or other long-haired cat breeds in your application under the "additional information" section. Preference will be given to those who have an established history with a groomer. Vet checks and groomer checks will be conducted, as applicable. Ryanne will be ready in August 2025. She is up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. She tested negative for FIV and FeLV (yay!). Submit your application today!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ryanne, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
