My story

I may be a little shy when we first meet—and that goes for new people, new dogs, and new places too. But give me a little time (and maybe a treat or two), and I’ll be curled up next to you in no time. I’m looking for a family that has patience while I get comfortable with new surroundings and people. Once I feel safe, I’ll show you just how loving, loyal, and playful I can be.I’m a low-to-medium energy gal, which means I’m just as happy playing fetch (yes, I bring the ball back like a pro!) as I am lounging by your side while you work, read, or binge-watch your favorite shows.I’m excellent on walks—calm, curious, and happy to stroll at your pace. I’m also a quiet girl, so no unnecessary barking here. Just peaceful companionship and the occasional happy tail thump.I’ve got my house manners down pat—no counter surfing or shoe chewing here! I’m potty trained on a schedule and sleep soundly through the night. Basically, I’m the kind of roommate who respects your space but also loves being near you.I’m super food motivated and even more praise motivated—tell me I’m a good girl and I’ll light up like the sun. I’m still learning new things every day, but I’ve already mastered the art of being a sweet, loyal companion.If you’re looking for a gentle pup who just wants to love and be loved, I might be your perfect match. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions.
