My story

**Meet Petey**, the big, bouncy bundle of fun with a heart as big as his belly! This chonky gray and white boy is bursting with spunk and charm. Don’t let his round shape fool you—Petey’s got *moves*! He loves to zoom around the room and chase his brother Pablo like it’s the kitten Olympics. When the playtime winds down, Petey turns into a total cuddlebug. The moment you pet him, he lets out the *loudest* purr like a little motorboat, soaking up all the love he can get. He’s a big fan of feather wands (prepare for dramatic pounces!) and will do just about anything for a Churu treat. Petey is the perfect mix of playful energy and snuggly affection. If you’re looking for a goofy, lovable kitten with a larger-than-life personality, Petey is ready to bounce his way right into your heart! --- The Pre-adoption process allows us to get the adoption process started early, even though vetting isn’t complete. Per the Department of Agriculture rules and regulations, The Kitten Rescue Project is responsible for vetting all of its kittens before adoption is final. At this time the kitten is not fully vetted because he/she is too young. We expect vetting will be completed around July 25th, but could be delayed a couple weeks longer if he/she does not meet the weight requirement by our vet. Once vetted, our kittens are dewormed, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped. Our feline adoption fee is $120, which assists in offsetting but does not entirely cover the expenses incurred for the animal's care and completion of essential veterinary care. We do not place cats in homes based on the order of application received. Instead, we prioritize the earliest applications that are the best match for the kitten. We will prioritize applicants within a 2 hour drive of Atlanta, GA to help minimize the kitten's stress during transport. Our adoption process does not happen in a single day. Typically, it can take at least a week for applications to move from submission to adoption. We reserve the right to deny any applicant for any reason.
