My story

Journee arrived at Green Dogs Unleashed as a terrified, semi-feral girl who had spent 15 long months in a rural shelter with little progress. She was shut down, overwhelmed, and unsure of the world around her.Today… she’s a whole new dog. Journee has blossomed into a joyful, affectionate, sweet-natured companion who wants to connect. She’s eager to please, enjoys affection and play, and is learning how wonderful life can be when it’s filled with kindness, patience, and safety. She still needs a little grace when facing new environments, as it takes her time to warm up to big changes. But once she’s settled in, she shines. Her ideal home is one that offers routine, compassion, and the understanding that trust is earned over time. This does not even come close to covering all expenses created by animals while in rescue. We are funded solely by the angels and volunteers willing to donate time and finances.
