My story

Name: Zizi Age: 3 years Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Terrier Mix Color: Beige Weight: 6kg (13lbs) Height (to shoulder): 29cm (11.4in) Rescue Story: Zizi was rescued in 2022 after being admitted to a city pound as a newborn puppy, eyes still closed. She then spent nearly 3 years in a shelter with minimal human interaction, living in a small space crowded with other dogs. As a result, she became highly dependent on canine companionship and tends to feel anxious when alone with people. She is currently in foster care with a trainer, receiving training and socialization—especially focused on leash walking and building confidence around humans. Human Socialization: Having spent most of her life in a shelter, Zizi is more comfortable around dogs than people. She may need time to build trust with humans. That said, she gently accepts treats, and when outside, she tends to stick close to her person for comfort. While she doesn’t initiate touch, she does not avoid or fear human contact—she can be calmly picked up and held, even by strangers. Dog Socialization: Zizi has great dog-dog manners and enjoys greeting and playing with new dogs. She’s more comfortable with dogs her size or smaller and tends to avoid overly boisterous or reactive dogs. She feels much more at ease when another dog is around and draws confidence from their presence. Cat Compatibility: She shows no reaction to cats and is available for further cat testing. Energy Level: Zizi has a low energy level and prefers calm, restful environments. She’s a mellow and easygoing companion. ‍ Walks: Zizi enjoys quiet walking areas. On busy streets or when unfamiliar people pass by, she gets nervous and prefers walking closely by her person’s side for reassurance. Other Behavior: She shows no food guarding toward people or dogs, does not exhibit separation anxiety, and rarely barks. She travels quietly in a crate, though she may need to be held when getting into a car due to fear. She generally prefers doing her business outdoors. You can also check out her post on our or Instagram. Send in your application through our website! Currently in Korea, available for adoption in / ##2460036##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Zizi, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
