My story

Ever meet a dog that when they look at you, you feel like they are looking into your soul and instantly make your heart melt? Well, if you haven't and you want to experience that warm fuzzy feeling, adopt Eddie Beau because that is exactly how he looks at you. For those that have experienced that "look" before, then you know it's a rarity that you don't come across often. He looks at you with so much love, trust, and innocence in his eyes that gives "soul dog" type of vibe. Watch his video and fall in love with this sweet and silly boy: https://youtu.be/k-_DRx2YFss?si=4s4k0pNrauY4Fyti Eddie Beau is a pittie mix approximately 1 year old and currently weighs 68lbs. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue we cannot guarantee breed or age. He may even have some Shar-Pei mixed in somewhere because he has the cutest little nose wrinkles that Shar-Pei's have. Those whose wrinkles of his probably have to be one of my favorite things about him. You can help but want to squish his cute face. Eddie is dog friendly and loves to make friends with other dogs. They make him so happy and his personality shines the brightest when he is with other dogs. We honestly believe that he would be happiest in a home with another dog. Eddie loves dogs who love to play and have a happy go lucky vibe about them. When he finds a buddy who's just as playful as he is, it's all about floppy mouths, loosey-goosey faces, wrestling matches that are the dog form of a pillow fight, and a game of tag you're it from time to time. He's not all play all the time either, so no need to worry about your house turning to into a 24/7 dog park. He appreciates those calmer moments and after a good wrestling match, play breaks end mutually. At the end of the day, it's all in the name of fun - silly, rowdy, totally mutual fun. He likes to roughhouse, but it's all open mouths, wiggly bodies, and a happy tumble-fest with dog friends who are just as into. Eddie is the kind of pup who brings the pizzazz while keeping it light, making every play session feel like recess with your best bud. Eddie would be best in a home with a dog who is looking for a playmate that can match his play style and one that also enjoys the company of another dog. No kitties for Eddie though, he was a little too interested in our house cat biggie. When it comes to training, this boy loves treats and will do anything for a treat and some encouragement. Treats are one of the ways to this boys heart. He takes treats very gently too and I love the way his mouth just barely touches your hand to where you can feel how soft and fuzzy his lips are. Which are smooth like butter. Eddie already knows how to sit and will even automatically sit for you too from time to time. On a walk, Eddie does pull a little bit at the beginning out of initial excitement but after a few minutes and some guidance he is and enjoyable walking buddy. He has a curious nose and likes to smell all the smells while also checking looking up and checking in with you from time to time. Especially if you'er telling him how handsome he is LOL he looks up at you with the biggest smile. He has wonderful house manners and if you're someone that doesn't want dogs on the furniture, Eddie is perfect for you! He won't jump up on a couch unless invited and even when he is invited he'll just look up at you with those sweet big brown eyes of his almost as if he is saying, "can you come snuggle and sit with me on the floor instead?" Maybe in his past life he wasn't allowed to be on furniture? Who knows but if you are wanting a dog to snuggle with you on the couch for a movie night, Eddie will just have to learn it's okay and how cozy couches can be. He is crate trained and potty trained as well and does best when he can get a couple of potty breaks throughout the day. Eddie would thrive in a home with a semi-active family looking for a buddy to take with them on adventures, explore those trails you have saved on the map, and a loving companion for you to show them all about what it means to be loved and cherished. He would do best in a home with a backyard in the suburbs where he can stretch his legs, romp around, and enjoy the sunshine rather than in the heart of the city. We have not seen Eddie with kids just yet and we can absolutely test that for you. Based off what we have seen for far, we believe Eddie would do best in a home with kids 10 and up. We are willing to test Eddie Beau with anything you need us to in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. For inquires, email: Elizabethbower@threelittlepittiesrescue.org Adoption application: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/686c25dfa602d39eac0e2ebe We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA  or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!  The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!  We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.  Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time. https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
