My story

Lemur may have the name of a wild creature, but he`s actually a gentle soul learning to find his footing in a big, unfamiliar world. This sweet, timid boy is still figuring things out, but he`s doing so with quiet bravery and a heart full of potential. When it comes to people, Lemur is soft and polite—he may not rush into your arms, but he allows all handling with gentle acceptance. He`s the kind of dog who might keep to the sidelines at first, but he’s always watching, listening, and slowly warming up to human affection.Where Lemur really comes to life is around other dogs.He seems to take comfort in the presence of canine friends and would likely thrive in a home with another social dog to help guide him and bring him out of his shell.Leash walking is still a little scary for Lemur, and he’ll need a patient adopter who can work with him gently and at his own pace.Lemur would do best in a calm, understanding home with someone who’s experienced with shy dogs or willing to give him the time and space he needs to build trust. A confident, friendly dog sibling would be a big bonus for Lemur, helping him feel safe and showing him the ropes. He may be shy now, but with a little love and a lot of patience, Lemur is sure to blossom into a loyal, affectionate companion. If you’re looking for a soft-hearted friend with the sweetest eyes and a gentle soul, Lemur is ready to meet you—at his own pace.Come meet Lemur and help him take his next brave step. ??

If you have any questions or would like to adopt LEMUR, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
