My story

Meet Gus – Your Future Lap Warmer Gus is one of those dogs who just makes you feel at ease the moment you meet him. With a warm, happy spirit and a calm, loving nature, he’s the kind of companion who quietly makes every day a little better.He’s easy to leash, easy to walk, and happiest when he’s close to his person—whether strolling by your side or stopping to greet friendly faces along the way. Gus has a soft spot for affection and, if you take a seat, don’t be surprised if he gently places his front paws in your lap and leans in for a snuggle or crawl into your lap. He’s not pushy—just tender and full of quiet love.He hasn’t shown much interest in toys yet, but he lights up with curiosity when other dogs pass by, tail wagging and a little whine of excitement. He may enjoy a calm canine companion with proper introductions. He came in with Tookie. Gus is ready to give his heart to someone who will love him gently and deeply in return. If you’re looking for a sweet soul who just wants to be close, Gus may be the one who’s been waiting for you all along..Gus has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match!  Check out his playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too.
